The Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Award (K08) provides support and "protected time" for an intensive, supervised research career development experience to individuals with a clinical doctoral degree (e.g., M.D., D.D.S., D.M.D., D.O., D.C., O.D., N.D., D.V.M., Pharm.D., or Ph.D. in clinical disciplines) committed to a career in laboratory or clinically-based research in biomedical imaging and bioengineering. NIBIB will only support individuals who are within 10 years of the completion of their residency or fellowship. Applicants must be clinicians with active licensure. Applicants are encouraged to fill out the NIBIB K08/K23 Eligibility Form and forward it along with the requested attachments to Dr. Tina Gatlin; to verify eligibility before preparing applications. Please include "K08 Eligibility Inquiry [Your First and Last Name]" in the subject line of your email.
